In the advancing age of ubiquitous computing (smartphones, wearables, smart speakers etc.), computing technologies have become deeply integrated into many aspects of daily life, including office work, home and housekeeping, health management, transportation, and even urban environments. Beyond the traditional computing-centric objectives of efficiency and productivity, recent years have seen growing emphasis on how such technologies can more directly support human well-being. In the 9th WellComp (Computing for Well-Being) workshop, we aim to foster an intensive and interdisciplinary discussion on how ubiquitous computing and software engineering can advance user well-being across multiple dimensions, including physical, mental, and social wellness, as well as their intersections across multiple layers of computing. Organized by a diverse international team of ubicomp researchers, WellComp 2026 will be hosted at Ubicomp/ISWC 2026 and will bring together researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry to explore versatile topics related to well-being and ubiquitous computing.
The Call for Papers is out now! You can find more information here. Accepted papers will be published in the UbiComp/ISWC 2026 Adjunct Proceedings.
